Choosing your font style, size and colour.

You can use Colour matching websites to select font colour, but you are better using a bold colour with font like Verdana that is easy to read.

If your font colour and background colour are too similar, it might be seen as keyword stuffing or hiding text. (black hat seo) Likewise if your text is too small, not only readers struggle to read it, the search engines could perceive you as hiding text, I always make sure my text is over 8pt.

As a rule I use one font per page, 2 maximum. IMO it looks messy with lots of different fonts and sizes.

Normally I see colours that I like on other websites that I visit. You can install and use this free software to capture colour codes from any website, or even anything on your desktop screen.
