Increasing Word Count

I try and aim to have around 200-500 words on each page, try and keep to one font for clarity. If you only have a video site, make sure you add the transcript on the page.

You do not have to have a minimum of 200 words, it is just an amount quite a few people suggest, you can rank highly with just images or media. But you still need words as content.  Some webpages don't get ranked or indexed because they dont have enough content for the search engine to decide what it is about.

I always say that the perfect webpage should have images, videos, and plenty of unique content in the form of words.

Flash has been improved to be more search engine friendly, but it is still very far behind, try to avoid flash if possible. Be careful not to use the noscript tag, as it can get you a google penalty.
